After Armageddon christians believe they will be in heaven for 1000yrs before being put back on the earth to a garden of eden like paradise - this is where my inspiration grows from.
Developing on from this idea i looked at the downfall of man since i've interpreted the link back to the garden of eden to the beggining of sin - without this part of the genesis story - we wouldn't be how we are today.
The main inspiration of this was the serpent that tempted Eve to eat from the tree of knowledge, so this has influenced the use of snakeskin and how it could be wrapped around the body.
I decided to look at Alexander McQueen - Plato's Atlantis which was heavily inspired by Charles Darwin which is contradictory to my theme however i found the use of animal prints and textures very inspiring.
Following on from this i made fabric examples of snakeskin using Ex-spandex which i'm leaning heavily towards using and had at look at Prada and there use of snakeskin and how delicately it had been used and simple but to massive effect.
Here i've looked at the textiles designer Mia Pearlman who is also inspired by nature - however her designs are usually installation pieces so i wanted to create a textiles for my garment but which could be removed also.
As an added style bonus i decided to look at stained glass windows which centre in most if not all churches. These would be used as accessories and decoration but with heavy meaning towards my theme. I have samples using glass and ceramic glass tiles.
